On October 14, a brief yet solemn ceremony was held at the Mali Bougouni Lithium Project site, a subsidiary of Hainan Mining Co.,Ltd, to mark the departure of the first batch of lithium concentrate products. A total of 30,000 tons of lithium concentrate will travel from Bougouni to the San Pedro Port in C?te d'Ivoire, before being shipped to Yangpu Port in Hainan, providing core raw materials for the company’s lithium salt processing project.

Since the concentrator commenced trial production in February 2025, the project team has demonstrated exceptional coordination and resilience in overcoming multiple challenges, including tight local explosives supply, fuel shortages, and complex security conditions. Through steady progress in system debugging and capacity ramp-up, the team has ensured stable project operation and successfully completed the production, port aggregation, and shipment preparations for the lithium concentrate products.

Meanwhile, the project company has placed strong emphasis on building a localized team. By deploying technical personnel for on-site mentoring, a local production team with independent operational capabilities has been rapidly developed, laying a solid talent foundation for the project’s long-term and stable operation.
At the departure ceremony, Project CEO Cai Yusheng emphasized specific requirements for product transportation safety: the contracted carriers must strictly follow the dispatch instructions, adhere to designated routes at loading points to avoid intersecting traffic, implement proper safety measures during lifting operations and at loading sites, and conduct daily safety briefings before work begins to enhance safety awareness and prevent potential risks.
Cai Yusheng noted that the smooth departure of the first batch of lithium concentrate products is a significant milestone for the Bougouni Lithium Project as it moves toward commercial operation. He stated, “This marks the project’s initial establishment of integrated ‘construction-production-transportation-sales’ operational capabilities, officially entering the comprehensive production and operation phase. Moving forward, the team must continue to work closely together to ensure the safe and orderly completion of port aggregation and shipment tasks for this first batch of lithium concentrate, setting a strong foundation for subsequent production and market delivery.”
